We developed a brand system for a cultural playground in Matadero, Madrid, transforming the concept of co-working into a mission-driven ecosystem where innovation meets collective action.
CO+ was conceived to solve the fragmentation of creative talent in Madrid. Located in Matadero, the project faced a dual challenge: building a platform for high-level innovation and avoiding generic corporate aesthetics. The core problem was transforming a “co-working space” into a rigorous movement where collective creation (CO) is inextricably linked to a measurable outcome (+).
We treated the brand as a “playground for impact.” We sought a palette that conveyed innovation and impact. A sober graphic brand with a nod to nature through organic forms and, as a visual resource, that moving circle that forms the pill shape. By pairing the legibility of Acid Grotesk with the disruptive paths of Parabole Display, we mirrored the intersection where ideas collide.
In this system, the “+” acts as a strategic filter: collaboration is the starting point, but impact is the mandatory requirement. The high-energy palette provides a sharp digital contrast to the industrial heritage of Matadero.
CO+ is not just an identity, it is the visual infrastructure necessary for Madrid to compete for global capital. In the entrepreneurial ecosystem, lack of cohesion is the greatest barrier to investment; therefore, this system replaces the “creative workshop” aesthetic with an operational rigor that builds trust. By standardizing the visual language of projects, the brand acts as an endorsement that facilitates resource acquisition and scales the impact of ideas. The result is a business tool that positions local talent as a mature asset, ready to receive investment and attract top-tier talent.
